Your craft, in focus.
A thoughtful space to share what you make, where you make it and why it matters to you.
For the people who make
You genuinely make or produce your goods locally. We’re building a place where that difference can be seen, understood and valued — through your story, your process and your connection to place.

Selected makers may be invited to take part in professionally produced documentary-style stories. Filming is not guaranteed for every participant.
Help shape a platform built around genuine local production, starting in Darwin and the Northern Territory.
The care behind the craft
We want to bring the materials, methods and people behind locally made products into focus.

A good fit for 100% Local
100% Local is for people and businesses genuinely making or producing products in the community they represent — whether that’s food, skincare, clothing, jewellery, art or homewares.
Simply importing or reselling finished products does not qualify, even if the business is locally owned. Tell us where the making or production happens and what you do yourself; we’ll discuss your process as part of reviewing your interest.
Ingredients and materials may come from elsewhere. The important distinction is that the making or production happens locally, and that it is honestly described. The 100% Local name is not a claim that every ingredient or component has a local origin.
Initial registration is free. Our proposed future marketplace model is a commission on completed sales. Rates and seller terms will be shared for review before anyone commits to selling.
Registering doesn’t guarantee acceptance, a film feature or future sales. There is no shopping cart or seller storefront service at this stage.
We’ll review your details and may contact you to learn more about your products and process. We’ll explain any next steps directly, including permissions for photography or filming.
A few things you might be wondering
You can tell us about your work at any stage. Explain what you make and where you are up to so we can understand whether there is a fit.
Yes. We’re beginning in Darwin and the Northern Territory, with the ambition to support regional communities across Australia. Let us know where you make your products.
No. Selected makers may be invited to participate in a professional video story. Any scope, costs, permissions and arrangements will be discussed before a commitment.
Not yet. The first release introduces the idea and welcomes makers. A marketplace will follow once the concept and commercial model have been validated.
Made locally. Seen more widely.
You bring the craft. Our plan is to help the right people discover it.
We’re setting out to make 100% Local a destination people turn to for genuinely locally made and produced goods. Our launch marketing plan puts the people behind the products at the centre — giving audiences a reason to watch, share and come back.
The experience behind the idea
100% Local brings together Ian and Jennifer Richards’ experience through Small Screen Productions and TV Works: documentary filmmaking, television advertising, audience research and social media campaigns. TV Works brings 30+ years of production experience and working relationships to this new chapter.
Meet the people behind 100% LocalProfessional maker documentaries and shorter edits for social channels are central to the plan. We’re also exploring television advertising that puts individual makers and their work in the spotlight, inviting viewers to discover their full story on 100% Local.
We plan to bring maker stories and category discovery together under one recognisable brand, with social content leading people back to 100% Local to explore more.
Our planned regional launch promotion and search-friendly maker pages will help people discover what’s made near them, beginning in Darwin and the Northern Territory.
If you genuinely make or produce your goods locally, this is the place we’re building for you. Put your hand up now. Registering early gives us a chance to learn your story as we shape the launch.
Marketing channels, budgets and launch timing are still being developed. Television campaigns would depend on funding and agreed arrangements with selected makers. Registration doesn’t guarantee filming, an advertising feature, audience reach or sales.
